The Training Source is a 2024 True Inspiration Award Winner

We are starting off the new year with exciting news!

The Training Source has been named a 2024 Chick-fil-A True Inspiration Awards® grant recipient and we’ve received a total of $50,000 to further our work throughout Greater Prince George’s County!

With this grant, we plan to expand our outreach and strengthen our approach to community support services, enabling residents to access technology, professional clothing, food, housing resources, access to social services, referrals, and other assistance as well as work with business partners and review labor market demand to identify employment opportunities, and develop pipelines of job seekers who have the skills and training employers are – and will be – looking for. The services and training we offer helps those who are adversely impacted by systemic barriers that lead to employment, housing and education inequality, domestic violence, and more.

The True Inspiration Awards program was established in 2015 to carry on Chick-fil-A Founder S. Truett Cathy’s legacy of generosity and community service. To be selected, a nonprofit must work to address a key issue that aligns with Chick-fil-A’s corporate social responsibility priorities: Caring for People, Caring for Others through Food, Caring for Our Communities and Caring for our Planet.

We would like to thank Chick-fil-A, Inc.,  local Chick-fil-A Owner-Operator Keith Singletary and the staff at his Largo and Capital Heights locations, and all of you who voted for us! We are grateful for your continued support!
