Workforce Development Specialist
Full-Time | On-Site | Maryland
Salary: $50,000–$55,000 annually
Position Overview
The Training Source is seeking a Workforce Development Specialist to support participants throughout their employment journey, from career assessments and planning to job readiness and employment preparation.
This position provides individualized career coaching and group-based training to help participants strengthen their skills, pursue employment opportunities, and work toward long-term economic mobility.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct participant assessments and develop individualized career plans.
- Provide one-on-one career coaching and employment preparation.
- Facilitate job-readiness workshops and training sessions.
- Assist participants with resumes, cover letters, and interview preparation.
- Conduct mock interviews and support job-search activities.
- Track participant progress and employment outcomes.
Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have at least two years of experience in workforce development, career coaching, recruitment, job placement, or related human services work.
Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills are essential.

Intake Specialist

Position Overview
The Training Source is seeking an Intake Specialist to serve as a primary point of contact for individuals interested in our programs and services.
This position supports prospective participants from their initial inquiry through assessment and enrollment, helping them identify their goals, understand available resources, and connect with appropriate programs.
The Intake Specialist plays an important role in ensuring every participant receives a welcoming, organized, and responsive experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inquiries from prospective participants.
- Assist individuals with program intake, assessments, and enrollment.
- Help participants identify their goals, needs, and available resources.
- Maintain accurate participant records and enrollment information.
- Coordinate referrals to appropriate programs and supportive services.
- Collaborate with staff and community partners to support participant needs.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate is a people-centered, highly organized professional with strong communication, customer service, data management, and relationship-building skills.
