Happy Anniversary!

Celebrate with us!

27 years ago today, The Training Source, Inc. began making its mark in Prince George’s County and DC-metro area communities. What started as a simple retraining for reemployment solution for dislocated workers, quickly transformed into a much needed and reputable solution for welfare-to-work transitioners, individuals with disabilities, families-in-need, at-risk youth, employers and so much more!

We are beyond proud of the accomplishments and contributions of The Training Source, Inc. over the last 27 years, but this year is different. The events leading up to our 27th year, both challenging and triumphant, forced us to rapidly make significant changes to our operations and programs as we sought to meet the needs of the organization and the communities we serve in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic that still presents more questions than answers. The shift has been bittersweet, but the outcomes have been and are projected to continue to be promising.

Let’s take a look back at some highlights over the last year:

To officially kick off our 27th year, we are excited to announce the launch of our newly designed website at www.thetrainingsource.org. Whether on desktop computer or mobile device, the updated site will provide an elevated experience. It has been revamped with improvements to make it easier to navigate and more user-friendly. We enhanced our content, which now includes a video library, downloadable program flyers, forms to make contacting us easier, a resources page and more. Our goal with this new website is to provide our visitors an easier way to learn about our programs and services.

Last but not least, we enter this 27th year thankful. We want to thank all of our supporters who have played a major role in helping us to achieve our mission. Thanks to Maryland National Park and Planning, Prince George’s County Government, PRM Consulting, T. Curtis & Company, Greater Washington Community Foundation, Morris & Gwendolyn Cafritz Foundation, Philip L. Graham Fund, Eugene & Agnes Meyer Foundation, Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, Saltzberg Consulting, current and former Board Members, other funders, donors, family and friends.

This year, we are not able to host our Annual Fundraising Dinner & Auction, which traditionally is our largest fundraiser. To help us celebrate and in support of our mission, please consider making a tax-deductible donation to The Training Source today.
